Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Fostering Faith! Before completing your volunteer application, please take a moment to ensure you are able to meet all of our requirements for volunteering.

Must complete 3 hours of mandatory training
Must commit to volunteering twice a month throughout the entirety of the school year (i.e. every other week)

The children we serve regularly experience feelings of instability and uncertainty due to the nature of the foster care system. For this reason, we ask all our volunteers to invest in serving on a consistent basis throughout the course of the entire school year.

Please briefly describe why you are interested in volunteering with Fostering Faith.

Which volunteer roles are you interested in? Please check all that apply.

Program Facilitator — Program facilitators lead a short teaching from our curriculum in addition to crafts and other activities. If you have a background in education or have experience serving in children’s ministry, this is the role for you!
Program Helper — Program helpers spend quality time with the children who attend our program. You’ll eat dinner together, play games, and help keep them focused during the more structured parts of our program.

Please provide three independent references. No relatives; past ministry leaders or volunteer supervisors are preferred. Ideally, these should be people who have supervised you in some capacity (work, internship, school project, a church small group, or a previous volunteer role).

I understand that I must notify the organization if anything changes on my application material, including my contact information. I also understand that I have a proactive responsibility to update the organization if I am charged with or convicted of a felony, or convicted of a misdemeanor, any time during the application process or during my time of service as a volunteer.
