Our Program
Fostering Faith is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that partners with local churches to host a program for children in foster care grades Pre-K through 5th grade. Once a week throughout the school year, foster parents have the opportunity to drop their children off at our partner church locations where they eat dinner, play, and learn about Jesus. Our program provides short-term respite for foster parents as well as a positive experience for children in foster care.
The Foundry Church
The Foundry Church is partnering with us to host our program in Ottawa County for the 2024-25 school year. Our program is open to any foster family who is willing to make the drive, regardless of where they live.
What does a night at our program look like?
Eat
We serve dinner to ensure your children are nourished and focused, freeing you up from preparing a meal one night a week.
Play
We create a safe space where your children can play, laugh, and connect with other children in foster care.
Learn
We teach a Bible-based curriculum, tailored to resonate with both younger and older children.
Free for Foster Parents
Foster families are able to access our program free of charge thanks to the generosity of our church partners and those who support us financially.
Trauma-Informed Volunteers
Our volunteers are versed in the unique needs of children in foster care and are trained to respond with love, grace, and compassion.
Safety First
Safety is our top priority. We work diligently with our church partners to ensure all appropriate safety measures are taken to keep children safe.
Privacy Conscious
Due to the sensitive nature of the foster care system, we take extra measures to ensure any information shared with us remains confidential.
